FITAA has been in effect since August 4, 2026
The Foreign Influence Transparency and Accountability Act (FITAA) establishes a public registry for arrangements involving foreign principals. Individuals and organizations must register certain arrangements with foreign principals that seek to influence Canadian political or governmental processes.
Registration is intended to promote openness and transparency. A failure to register may result in an administrative monetary penalty. The accompanying regulations set out how the Act is implemented.
La Loi sur la transparence et la responsabilité en matière d’influence étrangère (LTIEA) établit un registre public des arrangements conclus avec des commettants étrangers. Les personnes et les organisations doivent inscrire certains arrangements visant à influencer des processus politiques ou gouvernementaux canadiens.
L’inscription vise à favoriser l’ouverture et la transparence. Une omission de s’inscrire peut entraîner une sanction administrative pécuniaire. Le règlement d’application précise la mise en œuvre de la Loi.
《外国影响力透明与问责法》(FITAA) 设立了一个公开登记册，用于登记涉及外国委托人的安排。个人和组织须登记某些与外国委托人订立、旨在影响加拿大政治或政府程序的安排。
登记制度旨在促进公开与透明。未按规定登记者可能面临行政罚款，配套法规则规定了该法的具体实施方式。
